Project 216, in partnership with the St. Onge Company (SOCO) is providing National Institute of Health (NIH) Clinical Center with supply chain and applied industrial engineering expertise to define the current state and service criteria and to support a comprehensive Operational Assessment.
The site review, detailed interviews and measurement data will be used to develop a thorough understanding of the day-to- day activity - people, spend, volume, service criteria - from an efficiency perspective.
Focusing on materials management functions of the hospital, the team will leverage detailed operations knowledge and benchmarks from world class academic institutions to perform an operational assessment, identify current levels of performance and potential areas for improvement. and utilizing LEAN methodologies, will identify waste and propose process improvement opportunities.
